Starting New Years Right!

Another Year In The Books!

I can not believe that we are ended yet another year! It almost seems as if 2017 had just started and here we are waving goodbye to it in a little over 4 hours. For me, 2017 had been a very rough year and I personally am looking forward to 2018. Now don't get me wrong 2017 ended wonderfully with the birth of my first grandchild so I can't complain about that.

But I started thinking 2018 and the things I want to happen in my life.  If I want to change the change is going to have to start with me! I want a better marriage! I want a better relationship with my children! I want to have my business grow! I want to do so much to be a better person! I want to lose all my excess weight!  Then I also thought since the birth of my granddaughter I want to leave a better world for my kids and Grandkids! That starts with the amount of trash I consume. I will also be working harder on my own garden to cut down on the amount of money I am wasting! I want to be a person who becomes more independent!

Most of all I want to be more adventurous! I want to do more in my life than just work and be home.  I want to take my children places and have adventures. I want to say hey all we are going someplace and have people have fun with us. I miss doing because I have been closed off for so long.

So for me, that's simple!  My Blog is going to grow as well as my garden! My Home is getting the facelift she needs after us living here for eighteen years! Most of all I am going to focus on what I need to to be healthy and happy!

So what is your plan for this upcoming new year? Are you wanting to change whats happening in your life as well? Are you willing to make the commitment to change your life in 2018 or are you going to complain about how things are and do nothing about it! I am vowing to change my life in 2018. I want to make sure that I live the way I want how I want within my own terms not how someone else wants me to be! I challenge whoever reads this to do the same. Make your dreams come true in 2018 and live the life you want.

Happy New Years Everyone!

Merry Christmas

Well, I hope everyone is having a amazing and magical Christmas so far. As you can see Santa has stopped in and dropped off a pile of gifts for the family including our Golden Retriever Buddy!

He knew he was a good boy!!

Our family was also blessed with the birth of our first Grandchild yesterday.  She now officially shares her Birthday with her Auntie.  Although personally I am going through a lot right now, for tonight I just get to sit back and reflect on how blessed I am.

I hope everyone has a magical and blessed Christmas Holiday!

Much Love,

A Christmas Letter!

To My Amazing Readers,

Can you believe that Christmas is a week away?  I finished my shopping and I will be baking in the next few days but wow this month blew past way to fast.  I know when I am at my main job my Customers say the same thing.  But seriously I am just going to take a brief pause because I am honestly in awe of it all.  So where do I begin...

I have had some health issues that will be following me into the New Year, However, I am getting it all treated and taken care of so that's a big plus. I rather not discuss what those issues are but just know I am getting help and treatment.  My freelance work, as well as my private business, is picking up so with that I am extremely happy.  The Blog Store will be having things added very very soon! I am working on a bunch of recycled and crazy crafts as fast as I can but its the season.

As for my family, things are going well! We start remodeling the house in January! When I say we I mean me this is another thing added to my plate but I am super excited and can not wait! We are eagerly awaiting the birth of our first granddaughter! She will be here any moment. My 17-year-old daughter graduates in the spring and is possibly doing a career in the military. My 16-year-old daughter is enjoying her junior year and my 14-year-old is getting her high school legs. As for my 11-year-old son he is enjoying video games and life. As a mom, I can't complain too much.

I ask that my amazing readers remember those who may not be having as good or positive of a holiday as they might be and I hope that everyone has an amazing and blessed Christmas.

                                                                                            My Christmas Blessing,

Well, we had a bit of an issue that my kids said there was nothing good and healthy to snack on.  To be honest the children in question just didn't want to get up and make their food for school.

I decided to one-up them and make this yummy herb baked tortilla chips.  My daughter Sarah already paired these up with Salsa.  My Megan said they would be great with Nacho Cheese Sauce.

So easy to make!

You mix:
4 cups of Flour
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking Powder
6 tablespoon oil
1 1/2 cups water

After this mixture is combined you can add what you like. This time around I added dried herbs. Next time I was considering adding cheese to them.

Portion the item to 8 different sections and roll out. Put rolled out tortilla on a flat griddle or frying pan 2-3 min each side. Set aside to cool. Finish making the rest. Once done cut up into strips, triangles or whichever shape you want to cook at 350 in the oven until golden brown.

Let me know what you think I am going to experiment with this recipe a bit to make different flavour options.  If you think of different ways to do this tap the reply button below and please share!!

To be continued...

Grandbaby Watch 2017!!!

Well, we are in the final days of Grandbaby watch 2017!  As a mother, I am so excited for my daughter and son-in-law because becoming a parent is one of the best experiences ever. My daughter is going to be an amazing mom and my son-in-law is going to do an amazing job at being a dad. I know both sides of the family are super excited about our little beans birth!

Personally, I cannot wait to become a Meemaw!
